They are good source of fresh air. We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. We get oxygen from the trees and they absorb the carbon dioxide that we exhale. They give us fruits, wood, herbs and many things of commercial value. Wood is the most valuable product that trees give us. We use wood in many ways. Wood is used as fuel and firewood. Wood is used to make furniture. Wood is also used to lay the tracks of the railways. Trees are good sources of medicinal herbs, lace and raw materials for many industries.
Trees bear a great impact on the climate. If we destroy trees at random, one day the country will turn into a great desert. Again there will be no rain and as a result the country will face a great crisis because it is an agriculture country and our economy is depended on agriculture. Again our agriculture is dependent on rain. Trees help in maintaining the fertility of soil. They check soil erosion. They help in drought and flood control. Trees cause rainfall. They maintain ecological balance, They help in cleaning environment. We should not use and destroy trees at random. Rather we should plant trees more and more for a better,happier and healthier life. Unfortunately, trees are being cut indiscriminately. Rapid industrialization, urbanization and population growth have contributed to the loss of trees. It is the crying need of the hour to plant more and more trees. We can plant trees on both sides of the roads and highway. June and July are best time for tree plantation. Trees are valuable natural resource. We should conserve them. This is good for larger benefit of society.
